Kayaking 2 Days

 The Kumano River is part of the Kumano Kodo and is the only waterway on the planet that is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Pilgrimage route.
Try kayaking these clear waters is a fantastic way to get a unique perspective of Kumano’s spiritual landscape.

This 2 day tour is the ultimate way to enjoy the sacred waterways of Kumano. We will camp on the riverside and have a campfire under the stars.

Kumano Experience tour group sizes are small for a relaxing, quality trip.(5 people max.)
*Attention!!: Our guide is American Canoe Association, Japan Safe Canoing Association, Japan Recreational Canoe Association certified Instructor & Guide, not certified the Interpreter-Guide.

●Minimum group size: 2 , Maximum group size: 5
For Junior High school students and older

●Price: 40,000 yen/ per person
(price includes guiding fee, kayaking gear rental, day 1 supper, day 2 breakfast and lunch)
*It is available to stay some Hostel”like a Hut” close to the river, we’ll ask some extra fee for lodging.

●Meeting place: B&B Cafe Hongu

●Meeting time: 10:00

  • Tours subject to cancellation because of weather conditions.
  • Depending on season, weather conditions, and water levels the section of river that we paddle may change.

Final information will be given after reservations are confirmed.

What to bring

clothes that can get wet (swimsuit,etc), footwear that can get wet (sports sandals,etc –footware will get wet so please bring  footwear for changing), hat, water bottle, Day 1 lunch, sunscreen, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, towel and changing clothes, etc.
We will camp on the banks of the Kumano River so please remember to bring a sleeping bag and mat. (Tent, Sleeping bag/Mat rental available)
※We carry basic first aid
